Compensation: Paid internships to value your contributions and time.
Participate in a Rich Learning Experience
Beyond the daily internship roles, interns will join summer cohort activities that deepen their understanding of diversity and inclusion, leadership, and contemporary social issues. Reflect upon your growth and enhance your leadership skills through structured activities and workshops.
Our esteemed partners have included Centene, Cultural Leadership, Diversity Awareness Partnership, Jewish Community Relations Council, Nestle Purina PetCare, NineNetwork, Anti Defamation League, and University City Schools, among others. These organizations are deeply committed to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of inclusivity.
How It Works
The selection process aims to match students with organizations based on mutual goals and interests. Throughout the eight weeks, interns are trained and supervised by host organizations, ensuring a supportive environment that allows for real-world application of Leadership Program skills. As a capstone, interns will organize and lead a courageous conversation to help their host organization fulfill its mission.
LEAD STL amplifies the internship experience through professional development opportunities, which include an orientation session, networking events, leadership skill-building workshops, and a concluding session where interns share their learning outcomes.
Don't miss this incredible chance to be part of a transformative summer experience that promises not just professional growth but also an opportunity to make a lasting impact on your community. Join us in developing leaders and changemakers for a brighter, more equitable future. Applications open November 2023!
