Hey future leaders! Ready to kickstart your journey toward social change and make your voice heard? You're in the right place! Meet Emerging Changemakers, the 10-month experience for 7th and 8th graders passionate about social change. 

 

What's It All About?

Think of Emerging Changemakers as the Cultural Leadership Experience, tailored just for you! During this program, you'll:

• Dive deep into social issues  

• Learn from some of the most inspiring expert speakers  

• Embark on field trips to amazing places around St. Louis  

• Overnight Programming - our Changemakers Immersion Three Day Trip  

 

Already participated in Camp LEAD? Each program is designed to be an independent experience, but they also complement each other perfectly, meaning double the fun and learning.

 

Who Can Join? 

If you're in 7th or 8th grade during the 2026-2027 school year and call the St. Louis region home, this is for you! Whether you're a social justice newbie or an activism aficionado, there's a seat for you at the table.

When Do We Kick Off? 

Mark those calendars! We offer programming from October through July, with monthly meetups typically on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. And let's not forget the highlight—our show-stopping Changemakers Immersion three day trip!

 

Students are expected to attend all program dates. ​​​

Tuition & Support

Tuition for the ten month Emerging Changemakers Program is $3,500, which covers all program sessions, supplies, and three day Immersion Trip expenses.

LEAD STL understands that every family’s financial situation is unique. We encourage families to share any circumstances that may affect their ability to contribute, and our staff will work with families to ensure all students can participate fully. No student will be denied access to programming because of financial need.

​

A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required to reserve your student’s spot, with the remaining balance due before the program begins.
