OUR APPROACH
Centered in the Black and Jewish experiences and their intersections with other identities, our immersive learning experiences, paired with learning from community leaders and Courageous Conversations, build empathy, leadership, and social and emotional learning skills needed to bridge divides.
Our curricula deepen this work by providing the knowledge, skills, and reflective practices necessary for youth to understand inequity and engage in honest, challenging dialogue surrounding racism, antisemitism, and other forms of injustice.
Together, this holistic and integrated model equips young people to lead meaningful, lasting social change in their schools and communities.

ABOUT US
LEAD STL is a St. Louis–based nonprofit empowering youth to create a more just and connected region.
Since 2004, formerly known as Cultural Leadership, we have partnered with middle and high school students to build empathy, bridge divides, and develop the courage to lead social change.
Through immersive learning experiences, community engagement, and honest dialogue, young people gain the skills and confidence to understand difference, challenge injustice, and take action in their schools and communities while preparing them to be leaders who exhibit empathy, foster advocacy, and value diversity.

Since 2004, LEAD STL, formerly Cultural Leadership, has empowered youth to build empathy, bridge divides, and lead social change, developing the next generation of changemakers.
IN THE COMMUNITY
Our commitment to social justice and equity is grounded in authentic partnership with the communities we serve. Through collaboration with schools, organizations, and local leaders, we create immersive learning experiences that promote dialogue, build understanding, and inspire action.
By centering community voices, we strengthen leadership, bride divides, and work collectively
toward lasting social change.
